This is just deeply depressing: women who spoke up during #MeToo often found their lives upended, as powerful men used defamation suits to target them, e.g. Roy Moore is still suing many of his accusers.

Fun fact: a lot of PR money has been and will continue to be spent to convince working class consumers that the small things we do every day are "destroying the planet". Who pays for the PR? The actual biggest contributors to climate change. Heat exhaustion is a real threat, just turn the a/c on.

Mm. If I had to guess, I think one reason art discourses like these happen so much is bc a lot of our workforce is really young and new, and there is very little opportunity to maintain institutional knowledge—a lot of our colleagues and forebears burn out and go elsewhere.
