This. All. Day. Now that the no national injunctions precedent has been set, get all that Amarillo shit outta here.
The left better start figuring out how to weaponize today's decision rather than just (rightfully) criticizing it.

- Go back into Judge Kaczmaryk's court to dissolve all of his nationwide orders.

- Pass gun bans and insist any order applies only to plaintiffs.

100% F this guy. His vision is a persistent government surveillance state that nitpicks every decision we make in our lives. Like everything else the GOP is doing... what happened to freedom?!

This reminds me of the time an Austin resident was complaining about some thing the City was doing by complaining she didn't know about it. I believe the quote was something like "I don't read the news, I don't get text messages or emails, and the City failed to tell anyone about it!"

This has been the pattern on so many issues. GOP/Trump breaks it, then either

1) Uses it as evidence the system is broken, or
2) Undoes the breaking and takes credit for solving it.

Over and over again.
Not enough reporting on the fact that Trump created the "problem" that bombing Iran was intended to "solve."

He pulled out of the 2015 nuclear agreement for no other reason than Kerry/Obama negotiated it. This war has been in the works since 2018 and Trump is it's author.

When a cabinet member announces "We are using the military to liberate an American city from its elected leaders," where do you go from there. What is left to say. The idea of that being anything short of a near-universal "Wait, what the fuck is going on" moment proves how far we've backslid.

The cruelty is the point... and slave labor is the outcome. horrific.
Take a listen and seriously consider it. While this is not an uncommon practice, I am glad people are beginning to speak up about it.

When I was on #atxcouncil we voted down a multi-million dollar facility for police horses – over objections of how necessary they were for crowd control.

Seems like having horses doesn't control anything and the animals are put in harms way just to further brutality.

Rep @doggett.house.gov made a good point at a town hall earlier this year. He makes these points about Trump, GOP, etc when doing interviews but the media cuts those parts out when they run it. Sure the message can be better but do we have distribution?
Why aren’t Dems on everything talking about the Joni Ernst “you can die” bill?

What policy differences do people have with "progressives"? Is it just me or is it often something like "well, sure I want people to have healthcare but I don't like this one specific idea to implement it... so therefore I have to vote for people who oppose the thing I want"
"Yes, Cuomo is awful, but I have some policy differences with the progressives, so this is hard."

This is not hard. What you do is, you set aside your precious little checklist, and YOU DON'T VOTE FOR THE AWFUL PERSON.

Exactly. The rw project is deep emotional messaging bordering hypnosis to their 30% base. There is no left version of that and there is no 30% base on the left to hypnotise. We need our own things that speak to our complex big tent coalition and not just bizarro-world fascism propaganda.
Once again they're unthinkingly trying to duplicate what they see as the success of the daft-right, and once again they're going to be baffled when voters can't tell the difference between the two parties.

Which is the absolute last thing any of these centrists want, so I truly I have no idea what they think their project is here

They keep making the same mistake that the electorate is fixed and adding from the right is the only way to win.

The reality is that only the right is fixed at 30-35%. Elections are won when we turn out the left. Going "right" will fail and you'll lose the left at the same time.

Say it plainly @texastribune.org – Republicans want to eliminate the existence of LGBTQ people. This has nothing to do with sexually explicit. Repeating their framing of it is malpractice.
New: The Texas House on Friday advanced a bill that would bar anyone under 18 from checking out public library books that contain “sexually explicit” material without parental permission.
