SCOTUS gave POTUS immunity from all civil lawsuits and most criminal charges because it would preoccupy the officeholder. So why are courts permitting POTUS to file civil suits against others? One should not be immune from being a defendant while simultaneously being permitted to be the plaintiff.

Hi, Jean. My friend is a Nigerian prince who needs to urgently retrieve $1,000,000 from an abandoned trust from his father.

If you can wire $5,000 today, you will be entitled to 35% of the trust. Please reply at your earliest convenience.
Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"

Quick story: I’m a middle aged man who last year finally couldn’t ignore the lump of tissue I could feel in my right breast. I decided to get a mammogram done.

Thankfully, it was a benign cyst that I can safely ignore.

But men, if you are in a similar situation, don’t hesitate—get checked out.

Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.

The American people need more from their leaders.

Trump’s pardon attorney Ed Martin claims Trump is pardoning his Georgia co-defendants and other “alternate electors.”

Note: Trump’s Georgia co-defendants are charged under state law. The president can’t pardon people for state crimes.

Should be pretty clear that without House commitment on a vote on ACA extensions, it is purely symbolic as part of the Senate deal
Q: Will you assure House Democrats they'll get a vote on ACA subsidies by a date certain?

MIKE JOHNSON: Ah -- no. I'm not promising anyone anything.

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

The Senate Democrats!

Did you know that in Canada, if a budget doesn’t pass the government doesn’t shut down?

Federal workers aren’t furloughed.

Funding for social services doesn’t dry up.

Failure to pass a budget triggers an election.

It puts the politicians jobs on the line.

They get the budget passed.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Dems need to start talking more about how Trump’s dementia means that he can’t distinguish his fantasies from reality. He has completely lost touch with the real world and only knows what his sycophantic courtiers are telling him.
Trump: "If you look at affordability, which they campaigned on, they lied. Because they talked about 'Oh, prices are up' -- no, prices are down under the Trump administration and they're down substantially."
