I have been places... Shot this scene in southern CO on the way back this evening very close to the aptly named Wild Horse Mesa. NM state line is just down the road. That's the Blanca Massif in the background.
Universal is the only way.

Tiny urban forests can help #rewild urban settings and help fight #climatechange. The brainchild of the Japanese botanist Miyawaki is taking his idea global.

We have so many solutions. Implement them. #ActOnClimate

I had no idea.
Peak fall foliage in Oklahoma's Ouachita mountains. Yes, this is Oklahoma! #photography

What is already one of the most beautiful parts of the state absolutely comes alive in the fall. I've been wanting this shot for years, but I either couldn't get there during peak or there were active droughts.

Actually I don't, because this was at least 3,000 years ago.
ONE YEAR AGO: Do you remember the record breaking snowstorm that hit New Mexico November 7-9, 2024? Several feet of snow fell in the northern mountains. Ski resorts opened up early. Several inches of snow fell in parts of ABQ with over 12" in parts of northern New Mexico. #NMwx

Find myself thinking about Jim Corbett a lot lately. Any other Goatwalking fans out there?

Found this in my archives. You know what happened 2 months later. This image from Llano Quemodo taken on my old Pentax K-x is barely edited at all, mostly just a little noise reduction. It really looked like this and sometimes still does. Guess I needed to remember.

Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

Australia has so much solar that it's offering everyone free electricity
Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

Ugh.
Hey rest of the United States!Head’s up! New Mexico oilman Steve Pearce is going to be nominated to lead the BLM. Millions of acres of pristine BLM land is vulnerable to mining & oil exploitation. Unleashed Steve will destroy our public lands. Call your reps and senators and block his appointment.
