Albuquerque still hasn't officially seen its first freeze of the season. We are now more than two weeks past our average first freeze on November 3. There's a chance we could get to 32º on Saturday, which will tie for the latest first freeze on record! #NMwx

A storm will impact New Mexico Wednesday through Thursday this week. Snow is likely across the western and northern mountains, with several inches of snow possible up north. The rest of the state will have a good chance for rain, especially Thursday. Storm moves out by Friday morning. #NMwx

Trending drier for this weekend's storm. Light rain & mountain snow stays mainly in western and northern New Mexico. Spotty rain chance in the ABQ Metro. 2-4" of snow in the northern mountains of NM & as much as 12" across the peaks of the San Juans in southern CO.

Noticing the smoke in the Jemez today? Don't worry, it is not a wildfire. It is a prescribed burn though meant to help reduce overgrown vegetation and protect against wildfires. Smoke may be visible into the end of this week. #NMwx

New Mexico could see winter weather return around the middle of November! The Pacific North American Pattern will enter its negative phase around November 15. A negative phase usually brings colder and wetter weather to New Mexico.
