“While the AI industry claims its models can “think,” “reason,” and “learn,” their supposed achievements rest on marketing hype and stolen intellectual labor. In reality, AI erodes academic freedom, weakens critical reading, and subordinates the pursuit of knowledge to corporate interests.”

It’s also got way more in common with the Epstein scandal than you really want to know.

Donald Trump destroyed public service broadcasting in the US - it's little surprise Nigel Farage wants to do the same thing here.

Trump’s America, don’t let it become Farage’s Britain.

Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

This is still a fine, fine country (and really, really is still quite empty/undeveloped)
Yay. Priceless. The right column at the right time. And a gleefully English two fingers to the haters.

As the first comment says, 'top frenching' 🤣
urgently need you guys to know that this French politician below 1) didn't know he'd been appointed as a minister until he saw it on TV 2) reacted by going: "bah pfff voilà"

*Nods in agreement* - am assuming the reporter was a man . . .
I read someplace that when INDECENT PROPOSAL came out a TV reporter, outraged at the concept, did some vox pops outside the theater, asking a woman "Would you sleep with Robert Redford for a million dollars?!" Only the woman without hesitation replied "I'd sleep with Robert Redford for fifty cents."
