I'm so freaking excited for this book!!
Every time I get to the words "the end" with this book, I feel so sad even though it's one of the happiest endings I think I've written. Going to miss these characters so flipping much.

I want to find whoever wrote this and give them my worst Teacher Stare + lecture about why we should just let kids read! Doesn't matter! The amount of students who looked at me with shock and awe when I said fanfic counted as reading, cuz other teachers dismissed it as "trash" or "dessert" reading

we are depriving generations of kids of the formative experience of stumbling upon some weird horny sci-fi or fantasy book that was absolutely not written for them, which is the kind of thing that makes reading feel exhilarating, like you are unlocking the grownup world’s fun secrets
