Watching the same movies over and over w the odd new one thrown in, trying not to get sick, still making jam, working on your scan
I'm seeing a lot of people getting sidetracked about cars on sidewalks during discussion about electronic vehicles on sidewalks. This is all bad, yall. Don't lose sight of the actual goal, which is unobstructed sidewalks with no vehicles whizzing past

22 years of walking in toronto, I observe vehicles like animals. I dont actually look at the driver inside. I can tell by how the car is moving whether I'm about to be right hooked.
We should all send this to our councillors and ask for blanket no right on red citywide
The Toronto news yesterday led with FOUR stories of pedestrians being hit by cars (including a young child killed) while Doug Ford removes the speeding-ticket cameras and everyone yells about bike lanes. I wouldn’t say I’ve given up hope here but I am feeling numb these days 😡

These transit priority lanes on Bathurst causing such a backup!!! Oh wait…those are parked cars…oops 😬 For the record the part of Bathurst with the new lanes has resulted in the quickest drive I’ve experienced in years of driving this route. #PrioritizeTransit #TTC

Even worse the line that goes south to the downtown mall is also closed. I had a nice surprise on the way to work at 6 AM
lol the TTC shut down a portion of line 2 on the second last shopping Saturday before Christmas because of course they did

I wanted to compare what I saw on Seattle's Line 1 LRT with Toronto's Finch LRT.

In Seattle, you can see left turning cars waiting while fast-moving transit gets priority. Help TTCriders make it happen in Toronto: www.ttcriders.ca/greenlight

It’s wrong that the Finch & Eglinton LRTs don’t have signal priority. Billions of dollars were spent, only for “rapid transit” to go slower than the buses it replaced. Last Spring at Council, I moved for signal priority on these lines. The 2026 budget must fund this priority.

1/ BREAKING: Fare capping is happening in Toronto!! This is a massive victory for transit riders, and something that we have been campaigning on for many years.

Torontonians are facing an affordability crisis, and the $156 cost for a monthly pass is prohibitively expensive.

If they don't like bus exclusive lanes, we could make a law that drivers have to treat busses like emergency vehicles with lights and sirens: see one behind you and pull over immediately to clear a path. Demerit points for non-compliance

I hadn't given it much thoughts until now but I just learned that there is a reason why in most French-speaking countries 'eighty' is 'quatre-vingts' -- literally 'four twenties' -- and that reason is the ghostly presence of the ancient Gauls' base 20 counting system.

If women are underrepresented in STEM, it's at least partly because men like this offer mentoring, then embarrass themselves by assuming their mentees must be into them, then decide the best solution is to cut ties, which sends the signal to other faculty that the mentee must not be good enough.
