I think one great service Trump will do for America is dismantle the very widely held belief that rich people are rich because they have some special capacity.
They had at least a well off dad and happened to have something that had been worthless but people suddenly wanted in a hurry.

Even if that’s the case, that doesn’t mean you give up on outrage and let things go and tolerate any and every new sordid revelation with a shrug.
My most doomerist take is that Trump will never be held accountable for anything: the Epstein stuff, the people he killed by mishandling COVID, his attacks on democracy, none of it. He'll die rich and comfortable in his own bed or a gold-plated hospital room, and I just need to make my peace with it
