The way all of these people convinced themselves that Mamdani is antisemitic is a subject far more worthy of media examination than any of the ‘groupthink on campuses!’ thinkpieces we’ve been subjected to

America’s Dumbest Billionaires Fail to Stop Zohran Mamdani - The American Prospect
It’s encouraging on many levels: New York City didn’t submit to a campaign of flagrant bigotry from disgraced two-time loser Andrew Cuomo, and Americans, particularly young ones, can still be politica...

If Brad Lander is ever parodied on SNL, they need to bring Tim Robinson back to play him.

Shouldn’t Tickle Me Elmo be called Tickle Elmo Elmo? Elmo never refers to himself in the first person.

28 trucks a day for a starving population of 2M+. IDF soldiers murdering civilians seeking aid. Israel's genocidal starvation of Gaza is a stain on us all. All U.S. support and political cover for Israel has allowed this to happen.

Stop the genocide. Free Palestine.

Every single union that endorsed Cuomo should be extremely embarrassed

The good news is now they have a chance to make things right by endorsing Zohran in the general

It's funny seeing brokers comment on posts about the new NYC law ending forced broker fees saying, "Now rent's gonna go up!!"

That real estate agents are upset enough to cry about the law proves they expect landlords to pay them less than they forced renters to pay, meaning lower costs for renters.

A client sent me a few product "photos" as official specimens that were obviously AI-generated slop. One of the photos included a latex glove with seven fingers on it. Stop forcing me to wade through your AI slop! If I submitted this to the USPTO, I'd probably be putting my bar license at risk.

At this point if I replace myself with a chatbot for most conversations with clients, it's self-defense. More and more clients and prospective clients are sending long bullet lists of unreasonable questions about the trademark process that no human would ask. I don't bill by the hour so this is bad!

This horrifying suppression of free speech and human rights is utterly fascist. We, the people, must stand together and demand Mahmoud’s release immediately.

This, precisely, is what I think Dem voters want from their representatives: direct confrontation with people who are used to bullying others both as a matter of substance and style. You don't have to back down to these fucking clowns.
Texas Republican Keithself storms out of the meeting he's supposed to be running because a Democrat asked him to treat his colleague Sarah McBride with respect. These people would not last one day as a trans person.

1 more point on literacy: it's a disaster that the inner workings of the US government are incredibly complicated and illogical (filibuster, reconciliation, Electoral College, etc). parliaments work better bc dipshits can pick a party that sounds good and see that legibly translated into outcomes

I'm so glad that Gemini or ChatGPT saved you 30 seconds on writing an email to me so I can spend two extra minutes reading and responding to your irrelevant bullet points!

I think at some point a week or two ago, a bunch of people starting using Google's Gemini to draft emails. I'm getting tons of overly long, bullet-pointed emails from clients that always contain at least one nonsensical question.

If you're a well-meaning person trying to be inclusive in a social event description, saying it's for "woman-identifying people" instead of "women" does not accomplish this. It implies that you think people who identify as women often aren't women. It's not the same situation as "pregnant people."

If you're a lawyer representing some company that wants a co-existence agreement with my client that I can't possibly authorize over the phone, please just send me an email I can forward or paraphrase to my client. Why are you entitled a bunch of my time on the phone for free for no reason?

Thanks to Eric Adams and the New York City Council, Simple Loaf on 5th Ave in Brooklyn went from having a beautiful outdoor dining setup with space for more than a dozen patrons to having space for parking two cars.

More and more emails from my clients are clearly generated by AI and they're several times longer and more nonsensical than they need to be. I charge flat fees rather than billing by the hour, so I find it really disrespectful.
