Re: Tomorrow’s Gotham championship celebrations: a team spokesperson tells me the city’s logistical limitations with the upcoming Thanksgiving Day parade made it impossible to hold a full-on ticker tape parade. They will have team buses rolling a few blocks towards city hall.

Pre-game, Kelley O'Hara mentioned Schupansky (who is largely recognized for her assists) in talking about denying the Spirit access to their 10s.
Those Santos stats I pulled are a product of tactics, but it took a Howell+Schupansky masterclass to make the tactics work.

also, shoutout to yael. she did some serious gm'ing this season. reale and schupansky fit perfectly, then she went and got shaw, whose first ten games with the club included 2g/1a in a playoff run in which she was the difference in wins over kc and orlando.

Mandy Freeman deserves a lot of praise for hanging on through the darkest days, and has also truly raised her game and evolved in that time to get to the point where she's captaining a champion.
Mandy Freeman was not rostered for the 2023 final, and in 2025 she not only started but captained — and won! So happy for the #GothamFC legend.
