This is who we’re trying to reach with Portland DSA’s Family Agenda for Portland. We can either have a nice city with nice programs that help families thrive, or we can have a police state with crumbling infrastructure and abandoned parks. Which side are you on?
The main reason my partner & I haven’t started a family is we can’t afford to.
Programs like Preschool for All give me hope we could someday, providing a strong incentive to live here.
If wealthy special interests dismantle this resource, just might have to move somewhere that supports families.
