Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

I made self-indulgent purchases at Miniso today and accidentally found my historical twin. Her name is Jeanne and she was a comedy actress from 1800s Paris. She's a fellow theatre kid and we have the same birthday. She now hangs out on the packaging of my eyeshadow palette. She's pretty cool.

I'm not saying it's ethical to ship real-life people, but I AM saying if you set up Ben Affleck and David Harbour it would probably fix them both.

I think a very selfish, hyper specific reason why I've been slower to keep up with Kojima's post-MGS work is the lack of weird Canadian guys. Having one guy in the cast who has seen the floorboards of Bloor Street's dive bars just feels like the secret sauce to tie everything together.
