“I never faint because I’m not sure that I will fall gracefully, and I never use smelling salts because they puff up the eyes. I’m Christine Vole.” What an introduction!

Someone please please buy my Brighton tickets off the TX. You know, maybe one of you that lives really close but complains there are no tickets. Please. Thanks.

The brilliance of Citizen Kane grows when you watch other films from that time period. Whatever their quality, they seem dated, while Kane is clearly heralding a time-to-come

New: I went on a months-long treasure hunt for 1,200+ books spanning 450+ years to digitize Daniel Updike’s Printing Types from 1922, detailing the history of printing and typography. Made a nifty poster too.

Especially in the UK, we’ve got a media environment that decides who qualifies as the ‘people’ based on their stance on issues rather than just existing in the country. I used the reactions to the Marine Le Pen ruling to show how the media ends up supporting the far-right because of it.

Never seen any film in the Airbud franchise, but I can’t see how remedying that will overcome the high I felt when hearing "ain't no rule says a dog can't play basketball” for the first time. Up there with “you’re telling me a shrimp fried this rice"

One of the most insane 9/11 stories to me -- this woman got laid off the day before, missed the attacks, then came back to work because the HR department all died

New: I recreated Tomas Wright’s 1742 astronomical treatise, Clavis Cælestis, and its accompanying sheets titled A Synopsis of the Universe. New posters are available in antique style and modern colors.
