Spent a bunch of time checking out the Substack social feed trying to put together why it felt so strange. It’s filled with a bunch of losers who don’t know it. Theres a specific desparation to be, not liked or loved, but thought of as cool. Very off putting

The brilliance of Citizen Kane grows when you watch other films from that time period. Whatever their quality, they seem dated, while Kane is clearly heralding a time-to-come

Never seen any film in the Airbud franchise, but I can’t see how remedying that will overcome the high I felt when hearing "ain't no rule says a dog can't play basketball” for the first time. Up there with “you’re telling me a shrimp fried this rice"
