Trump just watches something on Fox then rage posts a new edict in response on Truth Social five minutes later without talking to anyone, then his babysitters try to explain to him that the Fox segment was wrong or his solution is insane, then he goes back to his ballroom work.

Don't be surprised if whoever killed Charlie Kirk has no coherent political ideology, didn't do it for any particular reason, and doesn’t fall anywhere neat on the left/right paradigm.

I'm not really one for nostalgia but in the old days a crank like RFK would have started a cult - and probably hurt only his own followers.

We have the misfortune of living at a time when a cult elects a government (one full of cranks, con artists, and quacks) that will harm all of us.

I think this rah-rah stuff can be fun popcorn reading, but misses the bigger point spelling out the inevitable demise of the internal combustion engine & ensuring oil demand collapse.

EVs and their charging infrastructure are getting better at a staggering clip.

I had not thought of it this way before.
If you started paying attention to the US in 1960, this sure feels like the darkest timeline. But unfortunately, purges against Black & brown people are normal US behavior.

You know what's NOT normal US behavior?

This is the first time there's been a mass movement to STOP a purge in real time.

What makes Mamdani so good in response to the attempts to smear him is that he gets this fundamental reality once stated by GW Bush advisor Matt Dowd: “If you're arguing against us while using our language, we're winning.” Mamdani refuses their terms and pivots to his platform.

Gotta give some props to Josh Hawley.

Saying you’re doing everything you can to stop Medicaid cuts in the same statement in which you announce you’ll vote for Medicaid cuts is a new level of ghoulish shamelessness.
