If this was about democracy, Trump would get Machado in (she won 75% of the vote). If this was about drugs, Trump wouldn't have pardoned the Honduran president convicted of smuggling 400 tons of cocaine. My take? It's about the oil, and Trump made a deal with Maduro's deputy.

I live in Amsterdam, with many neighbours and nearly half of my children's classmates from Muslim countries. They are lovely people. I would rather live next to a muslim than a hateful American Christian nationalist.
