Granting a cease fire in The War On Cars while they're used to chase ICE out of our cities. 🫡
Just witnessed Chicagoans following this undercover ICE vehicle (Black pick-up truck) heading south on Ashland honking their horns incessantly and alerting everyone that ICE was coming.

“Forget about intelligence” is a pretty good mantra for this administration
Host: Are you saying the US did not see intelligence that the Supreme Leader had ordered weaponization?

Rubio: That’s irrelevant

Host: No, that's a key point

Rubio: No it’s not… Forget about intelligence

I say this a lot, but it's riding my bike that made me not see Baltimore as a scary place anymore.
Human-scale transportation creates more connected, more forgiving, kinder societies.

When you move through the world without a multi-ton metal shell, you tend to see others as people, not obstacles, and behave accordingly.

Wild to see how tomato seedlings can be transplanted at scale, yet more important to support these workers. We could be making their lives easier, yet instead, we are focusing on greedy tax cuts for billionaires, idiotic tariffs and market manipulation, and deporting people without due process. 😡
Hermelinda's transplanting tomato seedlings. She earns just over CA min. wage. It's seasonal work & she doesn't live nearby. Gas for 100+ mi round trip is expensive. It's the only option in the slow season as her family depends on her wages. #WeFeedYou

Tonight to wind down after a deadline, I took my guitar out on the porch to play quietly. As I practiced a new Julien Baker song, an owl swooped overhead and landed in a tree next door. It listened for a minute before joining, singing with loud hoots and cries before flying off. Nature is amazing.

During his marathon filibuster, Senator Cory Booker read aloud a letter from a voter diagnosed with Parkinson's disease — which Booker's late father also had — who worried about the impact the loss of Social Security benefits could have on their family.

Proud of my friends at Sandy Hook Promise. Countless lives have been saved thanks to their Say Something tip line. This is what school safety can and should be. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...
Their kids died at Sandy Hook. Their tip line prevents school shootings.
The anonymous reporting system “Say Something” has stopped 18 people who planned to attack schools.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too.

EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them.

Don’t lose hope. Remember, Watergate took over two years to fully unravel from the initial break-in to Nixon’s resignation. Just like then and now, Americans are losing faith in their government. We are documenting every illegal action and will hold this administration and Elon Musk accountable.
