Agree. Lately everything Trump does is described as a "distraction." Sending troops to LA is a distraction from the Musk/Trump feud, Musk/Trump feud is a distraction from budget bill, etc. I don't think he puts that much thought into it, he's just a stupid fascist motherfucker who does crazy shit.
Jesus Christ! The "distraction" argument has become absolutely pathological. What is happening is real. Human lives are at stake. Democracy is imperiled. Attempting to minimize it as a feint or a maneuver because you want to talk about something else is morally and politically indefensible.

Yup. I have a hard time seeing the fact that Bluesky does not compensate people for being combative assholes to generate "engagement" as a downside.
Agreed. I find a lot of the criticism of BlueSky comes from the inability of a small group of people to monetize it.
