National Weather Service employees were encouraged to take early retirements at an all-hands meeting Thursday. The union believes as many as 1,000 could leave in the coming months - out of a workforce of just over 4,000.

Fellow feds (and eventually for my fellow civilians) things are going to get worse before they get better. We are being attacked by our own leader. As hard as it is, try to remember your circle of control. This is a good time to take up mindfulness.
