Ppl could just wait 48 hours for his friends and family to say what “he got more political” means

Other profiles and discord chats and whatever will prob drop.

Instead ppl pick 2 bits of evidence - a t-shirt, a Halloween costume, a meme on a bullet - and decide THEY KNOW. They don’t, yet.
Things are pretty early but — Tyler Robinson, the guy arrested for the Charlie Kirk murder, doesn’t scream “extremely online nihilist” either. Going as a meme for Halloween is not weird. Irony culture isn’t always nihilistic.

The need to have an immediate answer is a side effect of social media.

You're JOKING this was approved. The move of large corporations, particularly Nintendo, patenting obvious gameplay ideas that just happen to be executed via software is one of the greatest threats to game development and creativity. How is the USPTO approving these. (Claim breakdown below)

The genre system we created at the Echo Nest and expanded for a subsequent decade at Spotify had, by its unnecessary demise, over 6500 genres, every one of them picked and guided by humans. The automated ML system that replaced it has 708 tags.

this is what annoys me so much when JD Vance does his anti multiculturalism ranting too. Like bro you are a Catholic convert married to a Hindu woman either stop lecturing me about how the founding fathers didn’t want a pluralistic society or stop living your life like pluralism is fine!

The Schmitt speech today is beyond reprehensible, but it’s also just such a weird moment in American politics where people like Schmitt have to reconstruct an alternate history where *they* are “Heritage Americans”. Bro you are German and Catholic the founding fathers did not want you on the team
what's interesting is that schmitt/hochman/whoever wrote this is aware enough of how foreign this is to the actual american experience that they have to include "continental europeans" into this category of legitimate americans

It’s so weird that people latched onto a bunch of mostly bullshit justifications for disliking a technology that has immediate obvious negative societal externalities. It’s made it way harder to teach writing but people scream about imaginary lakes evaporating.
The commonly cited AI water usage statistics are based on a methodology where, if your data center buys green energy from a hydroelectric dam (as lots do, including the hyperscalers), then “natural evaporation of the water from the lake behind the dam” is counted as that data center’s water use.

one big problem for newsom is that the moderate voters i talk to in my neighborhood all think he is too progressive, since he's from california, regardless of his policies.

One of the things about JD Vance is that he is completely 100% aware that what he is doing is evil and has made a deliberate, conscious choice to do evil to get power. He’s not self-deluded or dumb. He hasn’t drunk Kool-Aid. He’s decided to do evil for power.

Did you know that if NY had kept its original gerrymander for 2024, there’s a very good chance the Dems would have kept the House, giving them leverage to stop the gutting of American state capacity and oversight? You can’t unilaterally disarm in a war, and this is a war.
Gerrymandering is bad actually

And anyone, even governors, who are proposing this are playing a dangerous game that’ll further undermine democracy and further the race to the bottom of fascism
