Related: I have a few things I want to write non-fiction books on, and one of them is Der Untergang. Yes I'm watching it again. And yes I could fill 300+ pages with my thoughts about it. It's a masterpiece.
I don't say this lightly, but as someone who has a fascination with the rise and fall of empires / nations... the United States of America has like, 5 years, tops. We blew our money and power on an impossible "war on terror," then re-elected a modern Orestes / Romulus Augustulus / Hitler.

Due respect Senator, your eight colleagues are one of the real dangers. We do not need an adjustment. We do not need a vibe shift. We need a complete rebuilding of the Democratic Party.

My mom died earlier this year and despite the fact that I wrote a WHOLE NOVEL about a dead mother and trying to come to terms with it (involving switching across alternate universes), it did not remotely prepare me for the reality. It's a shit club I cannot recommend, the Dead Moms Club.
