What a horrific response. She admits that russia is killing our civilians, fully aware that without Patriot missiles, more families will be burned alive in their beds in the middle of the night, yet she mutters something about how the commitment hasn’t changed.
Tammy Bruce serves up epic word salad about Russia-Ukraine: "The nature of how we make that commitment is going be based on what's best for America First. It's certainly two nations at war & America has made a huge difference in that regard. This is not something POTUS is not not addressing."

This is the result of a Russian missile hit that damaged a civilian train today, carrying regular people, including the elderly, women, and kids. Sadly, people get used to seeing stuff like this, and it won't be all over the news. Don’t let it fade. Keep showing Russia's crimes

The fact that many people point out this is bollocks when you look at aid as % of GDP with zero engagement is kinda damning for someone who built an online brand as a pedant
I think there's something pretty damning to say here about the world's other large or advanced economies, which simply neglect less wealthy parts of the world - often parts of the world they themselves once ruled or colonized.

America's retreat is shameful - but so was the loneliness of our effort.

Ireland has actually caught up a bit then, was suprised to see it at 87.4% of the population, meanwhile Finland is 89.7 Finnish parents, at least 90-something white, and people still complain
one thing Americans might miss because of wankers like Goodhart is that the UK is an *overwhelmingly white country* as a whole. 83 percent of the population are white! 76 percent of that is 'white British' What sparks the panic is that London is highly multicultural and the pundits all live there.

I arrived back in Melbourne hours ago and had my phone handed back to me upon landing

I see this is business presentations using AI-generated images or graphs that are BAD - messy, difficult to read, v. forgettable - but 'tis always been so, people love clip art and cutesy teddybear cards or the most generic anime known to man
I wrote this about AI. We hear a lot about the importance of the "human touch" in the age of of machine intelligence. But the depressing truth is a lot of people just love AI slop.

Let’s be real, some people prefer the artificial
Biggest shock about AI is not the dire poetry it produces, but that many favour it precisely for the ways it isn’t human

1) this is a vg column 2) I'd love to read some proper qual research on *why* people just don't mind AI, I'm so far down one end of the spectrum on it that I just can't really fathom why you'd enjoy "art" or "writing" done by the robots

What is this witchcraft?!
Most political punditry misses this fundamental insight from political science.
The key to winning at both politics and elections is realizing that future opinions — "latent opinion" — is different from what we can measure about public opinion using polls _today_. Future opinion is downstream of both what leaders do *and* don't do today. The future is not exogenous
