A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

Speaking as a former Californian with continuing deep ties to the state: Go ahead and be Florida's problem, you greedy fascist fuckwaddles
Billionaires are considering cutting or reducing their ties to California by the end of the year because of a proposed ballot measure that could tax the state’s wealthiest residents.
A Wealth Tax Floated in California Has Billionaires Thinking of Leaving
It’s uncertain whether the proposal will reach the statewide ballot in November, but some billionaires like Peter Thiel and Larry Page may be unwilling to take the risk.

They like to cloak themselves in religion…
Then read it to them.
Don’t let them say they “didn’t see it.”

Let them “defend” it.

The key distinction here is that most normies reject the idea that immigrants are a communitarian or civilizational threat. Trump and Miller are losing the country (per @jamellebouie.net) because that's far outside the mainstream. We can seize this moment to advance our own communitarian argument:
Miller is so extreme he is losing part of the American right: Joe Rogan "calls it “horrific” to arrest “normal, regular people that have been here for 20 years” in “front of their kids.”"

This articulation of what belonging and community means in America captures something fundamental:

It's not a question of politics or party. Congress has a constitutional obligation to impeach and to remove a president who commits high crimes and misdemeanors and forsakes his solemn oath.

And there has never been a president who has committed as many impeachable offenses than this one.
There's a Hill bubble narrative, posing as savvy realism, in treating impeachment as some radioactive poison and so Democrats must squash any talk of it. But there's zero evidence for that. No polls back it up, nor recent history. It's all just pundit-brained conventional wisdom eating its own tail.

Important: Maryland senate leader refuses to redistrict to counter Trump/GOP, but Rep Jamie Raskin says if Indiana GOPers move, MD must act:
