It's becoming obvious that the political divide in the UK is simply whether we want a racist government or not.
The problem is, currently it is getting harder to spot where that divide falls. Until our government draws the line, firmly & irrevocably, defending it completely, Reform will draw support
This kind of ugly hypocrisy from Dan Hodges of the Daily Mail is exactly why our country has Farage - a brazen racist - riding high in the polls. And, also, of course, why we’re in the post-Brexit doldrums. A far right agenda is pushing us into a very bleak place.

There are very valid counter arguments which a responsible government and media should be making. Which they aren't, giving Fagash Farage a free ride.

If Labour would be Labour, the landscape would change.

Not impossible to change this even with a right-wing driven media.
The left & centre parties must do more, use social media smarter to call out Reform's incompetence, racism & unworkable policy proposals.
Brexit & Trump are what happens when the right get a free run. All true democrats must act.

We shouldn't need a referendum. The last one was not binding, so presumably the next would not be. It was and is a political decision by the government of the day.
Why wait? Start negotiations now!

Is our government copying the Johnson playbook by failing to act early enough or decisively enough?
Surely, the Covid inquiry has taught us that delay in acting needlessly costs lives.
How many more political leadership failures can our NHS take?
While we're at it, why not offer people Covid boosters as well?

Covid is without doubt more dangerous than flu, to everybody, not just those over 75.

Why on earth are we giving people flu jabs but not Covid jabs?

JCVI needs to get its act together, fast!
We need an emergency flu vaccine drive to protect the vulnerable and prevent a disaster in the NHS.

That means jabs offered in pubs, churches and community spaces, and taking on the anti-vax lies promoted by Reform and other conspiracy theorists head on.

The economic reasons are now undeniable, security exceeds even that argument.

I also have a new plan for benefits.
It involves supporting people in need, at the point of need, when they need it.
It definitely doesn't include denigrating people in their hour of need, or trying to smear them as scroungers.
Kemi Badenoch, once a strong advocate for Brexit, has acknowledged its economic damage. The evidence speaks for itself, and the Government cannot continue to ignore it.
