Definitely not a family of raccoons operating an old mannequin like a puppet, but possibly a colony of angry sentient cockroaches. Transphobes, racists, and all other weird bigots should fuck off.

Not a single Trump voter was "duped" or "lied to" about Trump's positions. He didn't run on anything other than hate and vengeance. He didn't have detailed policies on "bringing down the price of eggs".

Everyone that voted for him knew that & didn't care.

The more evidence mounts that Platner is lying, the more convinced I become that he is lying not only about his past but also about his current views.
CNN confirms that multiple sources suggest Graham Platner knew his tattoo was a Nazi symbol years prior to launching his campaign — and is now blatantly lying about it.

Some random things that are still going strong in the #garden for your #bloomscrolling pleasure. Royal Carpet sweet alyssum, Red Marietta marigolds, a random bright orange mutant marigold, and Radio Calendula.

*tip: it is good to describe the image in Alt Text, but when the image is (mostly) text, it is vital to include the actual text that is on the image in the Alt Text. if u can add description great, but the text is the most important

I'm 100% tired of a certain demographic supporting heinous shit only to have that same demographic demand the people they intended to harm give a damn when the aforementioned demographic experience the consequences of their decisions and actions.

Be for fucking real.

This isn't sexy or revolutionary but the simplest most effective anti-fascist act you can make is voting to make sure the fascist isn't elected to have total power.
Of course, @jamellebouie.net is right. It is crazy making for this to be met with a shrug. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago when being called a fascist was about as strong a piece of speech imaginable. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2024/10/18/o...

If they suspend Habeas Corpus, it won't just be for "migrants" or "illegals" or "criminals." If they suspend Habeas Corpus it will be for you and me and whomever this regime decides is unfit, undesirable, and a threat or a problem. This is how it works. This is how it's always worked.

When right-wing politicians make disastrous decisions in the name of big business or anti-government ideology, those decisions get assigned to "the government," and end up serving as more fuel for anti-government contempt.

Try to avoid that phrase entirely - it's a fundamentally right-wing frame

Girl you garden girls are EXHAUSTING That’s not even allowed where I live. And for people in section 8 housing it’s BANNED outright. They pour bleach on that shit in some places.
Plant a garden. Even a container garden. Flour, rice and beans are solid staples. Cheap(ish) protein is pork and chicken. General rule of thumb is cheaper to make from scratch. Casseroles and one pot dishes easier to make and freeze leftovers.

It might not be very showy but this Sweetroot (Osmorhiza longistylus) is probably my favorite plant in the entire garden, and it finally rewarded me with some seedlings this year. #Gardening #NativePlants

I didn't get these radishes planted as early as I wanted to, and I did a pretty crap job spacing them out so I'm gonna have to thin 'em, but at least they're growing. #gardening

Everyone has small towns! Black, Hispanic, etc. Everyone works on their own trucks! It's not special

Y'all keep making excuses for the bitter, racist little voters that are literally destroying the global economy, shredding the constitution, bringing us to the edge of war with Canada, putting 10s of millions of African lives at risk, ending social security, firing veterans, and resegregating.

If “abortion is murder” being a Trump supporter is too.

- clinical trials stopped
- all science research halted
- vaccine availability impeded
- INNOCENT people deported to death camps overseas
- THOUSANDS of people losing their income and means of survival overnight

Y’all are murderers.

Violetade: 3 parts violet petals to 1 part sugar, grind to a smooth paste in a mortar and pestle (or food processor). Add 1 Tbsp to 6-8oz cold water, stir until dissolved. Optionally add 1 tsp of lemon juice. Strain through a fine sieve to remove any remaining traces of petals.

Species tulips! The white one is tulipa turkestanica, and I'm pretty sure the red one is a tulipa linifolia.
