Struggling to square the circle between the fact that Trump will be an aggressive dictator intent on revenge and who has already tried to suppress and overturn democracy once, with the rather blasé argument that "of course there will be elections in 2028, don't be silly!".
@maxrushden.bsky.social It was good to hear you covering the issue of mental health on your Talksport show. I always enjoy listening to your shows, as you raise issues and tackle stigmas that many on the station don't. But it was be good if certain Talksport presenters were a little more thoughtful

I was so happy when Labour won last year. Thought we were finally out of the dark times. What a thoroughly soul-destroying disappointment they have been.

Chasing the racist, drugged up, thick as shit vote whilst ignoring everyone else. Fuck Starmer, fuck Mahmood and fuck that cunt Morgan McSweeney.
Shabana Mahmood has vowed to end Britain’s “golden ticket” for asylum seekers by forcing people arriving illegally to wait 20 years before they can apply for permanent settlement

Over the past few years, the BBC has successfully radicalised me into being a firm 'abolish the license fee' supporter. Their news and political coverage is consistently terrible. If the BBC wants to act like GB News/Fox or any other privately funded broadcaster, it can do so without public money.
............what have they changed the headline to

when did the BBC become a red top

New.

Leicester were set to unveil their kit for the new season last week, but the announcement was postponed. Was it because their new sponsor KBET is a hitherto unknown – and illegal – online bookmaker?

It would be a terrible shame if 'JD Vance killed the Pope' ended up gaining traction in the right-wing, God-fearing, conspiracy bubble sphere. That could do immeasurable damage to his political ambitions *evil grin*

Good to know our owner finds a second relegation in three seasons so entertaining.

I had always assumed previously that BBC had a pro-government bias, rather than a pro-Tory one. But seeing how openly hostile they have been since July - nah, they are definitely just anti-Labour. Time they either got on side or have their licence fee abolished.
MPs saying that when the BBC did its news alert that Starmer was abolishing NHS England, a LOT of people thought he was abolishing the NHS 😬

I can think of 2.26 billion reasons why this is more worthwhile than a strongly worded tweet.
BREAKING: Chancellor Rachel Reeves has signed a £2.26 billion loan agreement with Ukraine to strengthen its defence capabilities, to be repaid using profits from frozen Russian assets 👏

Owning a Tesla is going to become like choosing to holiday in South Africa under apartheid

I do think some 'WFH is bad for you' people struggle to contemplate just how horrible commuting and office politics are for people. I hated it, use to be a zombie at nights when I came home from 5:30 starts. Loneliness, from my experience, is more likely due to social factors/experiences than WFH.
🧵This from @jburnmurdoch.bsky.social links to probably biggest thing I've changed my mind on in last 5 years: the merits of working (or study) from home. Initially in post pandemic rows on it I tended to think loud critics of WFH were opening another culture war front & many did frame it that way!

The number of people who support Tommy Robinson *and* would vote for a black woman born in Nigeria to be UK PM is, approximately, 5 and all of them write columns for the Spectator.
Kemi Badenoch's spokesman refuses to say whether she believes Tommy Robinson should be in prison, saying "I'm not going to talk about Tommy Robinson"
