As an example of an amazing interview (especially for those fantasy writers out there), check out Bianca Marais interviewing @sarahhawley.bsky.social on the 12/5 show
Still a very good list for writing podcasts

Wish The shit no one tells you about writing was on here but worth checking out the podcast- The books and Hooks segment is like a free high yield craft master class, and Bianca Marais is SO good at interviewing other authors from the writing lens
Three podcasts I've been enjoying:

1. @publishingrodeo.bsky.social (the hosts are authors)
2. @printrunpodcast.bsky.social (the hosts are agents)
3. The Shit No One Tells You About Writing (the hosts are an author and two agents)

Lots of wisdom on #writing, #querying, and #publishing here.

A sad irony of how book bans disproportionately impact different areas off the country means that the children who are most likely to have their reading material censored are the ones most in need of literature as a window into a rich and complex world different from the one they live in
“But it’s the book bans themselves that cause the most harm, robbing youngsters of opportunities to think critically, explore ideas and learn about experiences different from their own.”

New from @sciam.bsky.social showing the science says let kids read:

Book Bans Harm Kids
Censoring what children read deprives them of reality and the chance to feed their curiosity and develop empathy

All books aren't made for all people. But they need to exist for people who choose to read them. Our choices are our choices.
Don’t like a book? Don’t read it. Pretty simple.

If you believe that:
1) Reading is critical to democracy.
2) Books help us understand complex issues.
3) Parents shouldn’t make decisions for other parents’ children.
4) Youth deserve to see themselves in books.

My next book will be about how the future will look

(My predictive text is maybe too vague…very dissapointing…)
How about a little silly fun? (On social media? Is that allowed?) I used to love predictive text stuff.

Type in "my next book will be about" and let predictive text finish it.

Mine: my next book will be about the most mediocre things I've ever had in my closet.

Imma need some of you to think about thriving out of spite. I had big plans for 2025 and I’m definitely not gonna pre-derail them for likes of Elin and Tromp. I’m getting more involved. Loving harder. Writing hornier. Having more fun. I’m gonna be so kind to my neighbors, bitch.
