This was such a good tournament performance. The way people laughed at their coach for saying they might actually win against Nebraska... to national champs. It's so good. They did not let their foot off the gas once

A Dem senator pressed Trump's FCC Chair, Brendan Carr, on the agency's independence at a hearing today, noting it says "independent" right on the FCC website.

Minutes later, with the hearing still going on, the website updated. The word "independent" was gone. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
Brendan Carr said the FCC isn’t independent. Its website quickly updated.
The Federal Communications Commission chairman faced questioning over the agency’s role in pressuring media companies and its independence from the president.

Writing books is work.
Authors write books.
Authors are people who live under capitalism.
Capitalism requires people to make money to live.
Authors need money to live and they do WORK.
"Capitalism is evil so you should pirate books" isn't the "activism" you pretend it is.

My top two #mswl wishlist items for 2026 are:
- an exciting adult mystery or thriller with something to say. Something that feels like Alyssa Cole's WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING or @kellyekell.bsky.social's MISSING WHITE WOMAN
- mg or ya set in Appalachia by someone from there. Especially with 🏳️‍🌈 or ♿️ rep

4 years ago today, I got my offer of pub for CRIP UP THE KITCHEN. 3 years ago today, it went to the printer (1 year is an extremely rushed production cycle for a cookbook oof).

Today is the perfect day to buy it for yourself or the disabled people in your life!

That's a cut of 15 hours a week. It'll be open M-W, 10:30-5:30. That's it.

Look I can absolutely conceive of a world where automated transcription works and provides a valuable service to doctors, patients, and caregivers.

That isn't the world we are living in though.

This world of AI bots is a privacy nightmare.

Stop using them.

The report an offer feature on query manager should only be used to report an offer of rep or pub

It should not be used to report a full request (esp for agents who say don't contact them for requests)

This has been happening a lot lately, so if someone is telling you to do this, don't listen
