Authors gatekeeping success is silly. Trad authors are often transparent about querying and I know successful indies who share their advice. The thing is, not all advice works for everyone. All authors have their own path to success that may not work for you.

It’s delightful as an agent (and former querying writer) when I request a full, snoop on the writer’s social media, and see they just posted within the past hour about hoping for a full request

Spent the morning emailing strangers about the story I've poured my heart and soul into for the past 6 months, and begging them to read it. Being a writer is so empowering at times...

Hi #LateNightWrite! I’m Catherine, currently querying my SF novel about aliens who steal. My WIP is about teenage pickpockets who do magic and parkour. For stealing. All my other work is also about stealing. And identity theft. Trespassing, sometimes. Wine counterfeiting.
Happy Saturday and welcome to another #LateNightWrite! Let's start with Introductions, tell us about yourself and your WIP(s) in any way you like.

NO but honestly. Pitching and querying really are a vastly different creature. (Not to get too cheesy, but that's the focus of my query intensive haha because this is so real)
Thanks! Writing is hard but this pitching business is like a whole other skill set. It will click....any time now.
