It really can't be stated enough how the AI craze is rooted deeply in utter vitriolic disrespect for the working class. Like I've seen multiple cases of this tech being marketed directly on sticking it to us filthy poors who want things like "benefits" and "fair pay for our labor"

If John Paul Stevens had refused to retire under Obama, he'd have died under Trump and been replaced by a conservative, locking in a 6-3 conservative majority (later 7-2 when Ginsburg died).
No one "blames" Stevens for anything bc he wasn't a selfish fool. He retired strategically.

The thing about Ginsburg is that the long tradition for justices is that they strategically retire when they can be replaced by someone ideologically aligned with themselves. She was a selfish and short-sighted person who refused to do that, and had a fan base that pretended this was good.
