Republicans want Europeans to immigrate to the US instead of non-Whites immigrating, but Republicans also hate European governments and the central European Union government the most.

The FCC Republicans have been scrubbing its site to references of the FCC as an "independent regulatory agency" but the 2024 Agency Financial Report on its website still says "The FCC is an independent regulatory agency of the United States (U.S.) Government. "

CARR: I think th---

L: Yes or no

C: There's a test for this in the la---

L: It's yes or no, Brendan! On your website, it simply says, man, 'the FCC is independent.' This isn't a trick question

C: The FCC is not

L: So is your website lying?

C: Possibly

Whiplash gonna be wild when a Dem POTUS stacks the formerly independent agencies with good-government regulators and the Roberts Court turns around and says Congress was never allowed to delegate authority to those agencies in the first place so byebye agencies
hey a fun thing is that if congress is delegating authority to an independent agency then by definition that agency is not "unaccountable." it is still accountable to congress. and it is interesting (read: extremely frustrating) to me that these people just write congress out of existence here.
Kavanaugh: Broad delegations to unaccountable agencies are dangerous for individual liberty! We have used the major questions doctrine to prevent agencies from overreaching.

I was right. Trump is arguing his Unitary Executive powers lets him ignore civil service laws and and overrides the Equal Protection Clause and the 1st Amendment. Remember when Republicans used to argue Biden was violating the 1st amendment religious liberty of employees?

bsky.app/profile/newr...
Isn't their current position that civil service laws are unconstitutional because it restricts the unitary executive and so all federal employees are in reality officers?

"Trump's" National Security Strategy is just nuts. He wants other countries to give "the U.S. military greater access to their
ports and other facilities" while at the same time the countries would spend more on their own defense. Why would any country do both?

NEW: CBS News is reporting that ICE will now specifically target undocumented Somali immigrants in Minnesota after a direct Trump admin order

The People's Republic of China is now pro-life.
This truly comes across as Stratistimes saying they can excuse restricting abortions but draw the line at coercive reproductive control, which is… A Choice. Or in this case, not a choice, I guess.

Let's call this 500 extra National Guards "The Surge".
The President’s response of sending 500 more National Guards is unacceptable as a policy matter; so without any after review of how and why this situation occurred, you are placing more National Guards in danger? A security breach this significant and your response is to send more troops?

Trump's DOJ is now suing California for its recent redistricting claiming it's racially gerrymandered. But it argues it's only a 14th amendment violation, not that it's a Voting Rights Act violation, even though the Supreme Court Republicans already said political gerrymandering was constitutional.
