Oh, shit. I missed my 8-year anniversary of being alcohol-free on 17 November

Pfft, the ads on YouTube are just for gambling or AI, seemingly.
Awful destructive shit either way.

Also, at which point do you stop advertising the disastrously useless, ecological calamity that is AI - after the world economy is utterly fucked into the ground by it or just before?

Disgusting, if not surprising
The “Pathways” trial is, IMO on more than one level, a thoroughly unethical piece of “research” to be carrying out on children, especially children who are part of a marginalised minority.

the puberty blocker 'trial' is being conducted by conversion practice advocates who speak at an extremist christian hate group.
The puberty blocker trial is about to start according to the BBC, led by Dr Emily Simonoff. The same Dr who spoke at a symposium organised by Segm, a group designated an anti trans hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Centre /1

Saw a Kathleen Stock book in the charity shop and had a grimace on my face the whole rest of my visit.

Should have bought it and burned it

Boring adult skeet: Wondering whether it’s worthwhile trying to adjust my pension investments to hopefully avoid the worst of the inevitable AI bubble bursting. It’s currently a pretty diverse portfolio with a bunch of seemingly ethical buckets in there (yay?)

My NB partner and I have, over the last few years, occasionally discussed potentially moving to another country/a general retreat from Terf Island. We’re not well off at all, but are privileged enough to be on the property ladder and so in a good position if we are careful and manage things well.

It begs the question: if ‘we’ don’t like this and the next thing is going to be even more unlikeable, why not try and do something people WILL like?

It might even improve the country. You horrific imagination-void ghoul.
What is truly pathetic about Labour is that this is all they have got. They have failed so spectacularly already, despite a whacking great majority, to even attempt to govern positively that all they have is punching down on marginalised groups and saying "oh but Reform will be worse".

Honestly at this point, despite all their shit & baggage, I would take PM Ed Miliband or Andy Burnham & a thorough reshuffle until 2029 where we can hopefully get the Greens in.

This farce is becoming grindingly tedious on top of being poisonously regressive, pathetically ineffectual & bigoted af

Wes Streeting has received £225k from private healthcare donors in the past year and I just don't think my morals could be bought for the price of half a London flat. I don't know if I have a number that would make me sell my country's health service down the river but Wes and I are different.

Sex Matters needs to be proscribed
Sex Matters coming swinging in to the BBC debate in the only way they can with the demand that trans people be expunged from all media content (unless they're being demonised).

Because that's their aim across society as well as media. Hate groups will push hate, they're just very open about it.

every morning Keir Starmer calls an aide into his room at 6.30am to film him doing bicep curls

"leak this to the Daily Mail" he says between grunts. "say that friends of Keir are concerned about how strong he is right now"

the aide nods, holding up the phone. it's not filming. it's never filming.

Emily Maitlis brags about her, Deb Cohen, and Hannah Barnes getting the Tavistock GIDS service shut down.

What she doesn't talk about is how Newsnight journalists manufactured outrage and concocted "scandals" based on unethical journalism - which they were called out for, but tried to hide...
