This almost seems too simple to point out but if your cops don't use guns they can't shoot people.
ICE were able to shoot someone in the head at point blank range because ICE carry guns. You literally can't shoot someone without a gun.

Not enough is being made of that key point by either side in the political debate, nor how extremely abnormal the USA is by global standards.

BBC News at Ten still pushing the line that Grok has completely paywalled “image editing”, except we know it hasn’t. Even Channel 4 bothered to demonstrate how the paywall was not there if you went direct to an image and opened the options rather than publicly replying and asking Grok to do it

This had better be a joke because if it isn't I will... engage with my manager to see if this is something we really want to support and if it isn't *shakes first* I can't see that we have any other form of objection.

Our strongest response being is shaking our heads in a **no** fashion

Yes because parts of the labour party are extremely left wing treating any change as a crime against humanity and means the changes wouldn’t pass, they also incorrectly backed down on winter fuel being means tested. Currently over 10% of the UK population claim disability which is just farcical.

So, cracking down on people abusing the system led to a back bench rebellion sufficient for the party to reverse its policy?

Okay.

Cutting disability benefits rather than introducing wealth taxes.

Why bother? Honestly, if Labour is going to be the more competent Tory Party, own it. All this 'party of the left' stuff is just tiresome.

Everyone can see for themselves Labour isn't. Give it up.

The best bet for the Labour...

I've just told this poster they're sealioning and they respond with... more sealioning.
Back up your point. I can see why you like the greens they also like to make stupid statements and act like they don’t need to explain them. You lot truly are the Reform of the left.

Mate, have I got publicly available stances and actions to share with you...
More of defence of the entire left. Currently the only viable party on the left is labour, the greens are not and the current leadership are so far up their own arse that it’s not going to change. And the Lib Dem’s just fold as soon as the tories give their leader a deputy PM title.

Whenever the ghouls suggest they might remove peoples rights by exiting the ECHR just try to picture what it would be like if they came for your rights, because they will eventually.

We hate them too.

Let all those briefcase wankers die on their swords.

I fear this too and we can't allow them to do this.

What's already been posted are crimes.
My concern that if Musk does relent a little and has one new guardrail put on Grok and a suite of images taken down...

... UK politics and media will instantly return to business "as normal" where most of both spheres are having their brains cooked by a firehose of white supremacist filth daily.

Liz Kendall on Ch4 News was stronger on asking Ofcom to use their full Parliament-given powers to deal with the problem. But it needs to be consistent - all govt and MP accounts (and the newspaper and TV channels talking about this!) removed or locked and no more posting

Legally, only Ofcom can ban X because of how the law is constructed (so that ministers can’t just decide to ban websites or switch off Popbitch for running gossip about them). Practically, the government can say we think it should be banned and we are supporting Ofcom and the courts to this end
