What we’re being told is that a guy who is an adjudicated rapist, who was credibly accused of sexual assault by dozens of women, who paid hush money to a porn star, who cheated on all his wives, who is mentioned hundreds of times in the Epstein files, couldn’t possibly be a sexual predator.

All of these new rulings don’t just affect today, they rewrite precedent. Trump still has three years left, and whatever expanded powers the Court hands him now will automatically pass to the next president as well.

Because political pressure was increasing on GOP reps who actually have voters to answer to. They were taking all the blame for the shutdown, and Trump was doing everything he could to show how evil the GOP is. What Dems just did was take ownership over the whole thing in exchange for nothing.
