For the third year in a row, the New Year will pass without celebration — simply because we are from Gaza.
Between displacement, tents, cold, we are only trying to survive.
Your donation is not a luxury for us; it is a chance to protect my children and give them warmth.

We’re already seeing it in Sudan.

Thinking tonight of all the people who, like me, find this the heaviest time of year. The pressure to satisfy expectations - to feel what we’re supposed to feel - is often unbearable. Add in elderly family members, struggling friends and a world gone horrifically mad, it’s hard to be jolly.

Kids will have very tough questions for the adults in their lives when they grow up and realize they were subjected to repeat Covid infections so we could rush “back to normal”.

These kids will live with chronic illness the rest of their lives because society refused to adapt.

There are people all over the country (and the world) trying to improve indoor air quality. If you're advocating for safer spaces, it can be exhauting & frustrating, but you're not alone! So many people are working towards this goal. Thanks @onschoolsafety.bsky.social for contnuing this work!
“We have been asking them and insist that they invest in measuring the air quality in those spaces, schools and school buses, and not leaving it as something for which school boards have to pull from an already overstretched budget,” @mjnabuurs.bsky.social says.

Librarians at my institution are reporting weekly requests from students to find AI generated titles for non existent papers.

Why do researchers think AI can do something they've spent 10+ years training in how to do?

Stop using AI. You're a researcher. That is literally your job.
I’m sorry, but it is disgraceful to be an academic who uses this technology to conduct research. It should be prohibited in all of our scholarly institutions, including universities and journals.

If they cant make money off your labour, they'll make it off your body.

Dying, like disability, is expensive.

Donate your unsightly fat to pay for your funeral when you're too poor to die.
“When individuals donate their bodies for science, such as organ donations, tissue banks often collect abdominal fat cells. Tiger Aesthetics purchases [it], screens it for diseases, purifies it, & processes it… it looks like clumpy butter in a syringe.”
