Really curious if whoever selected the TGA nominees actually played South of Midnight because if they had, it wouldn’t have only been nominated for “Games for Impact.” Which imo that category in itself is just another performative copout but hey what do I know 🤷

Bingo. Exposing the hypocrisy of right wing ideology won’t save us, because hypocrisy IS their ideology. We have to stop pretending that finding the perfect “gotcha” is going to change anything, and deal with the fact that all they care about is power.

A handful of folks breaking out the “But he did important work!” equivocation in the case of Charlie Kirk, like he’s a great civil rights leader or even a long-standing representative or something, rather than a guy who took every chance he had to be hateful, is very strange!
you don’t have to have a take on everything but i will say for the record that gavin newsom’s “continue his work” post is one of the more disgusting things i have ever seen considering that the dead man in question wanted at least ~2.8 million americans eradicated & believed empathy was a sin.

My big takeaway from seeing Revenge of the Sith this week was a new appreciation for Anakin’s fall to the dark side, especially as a depiction of how fascists pinpoint your greatest fear and exploit it to the point that you willingly surrender your humanity until you are solely an arm of the state
