Remember when HS2 to Leeds was cancelled by the NIC's shitty maths and fundamental lack of expertise, and Leeds was thrown the bone of "you'll get trams" and I said those would never be delivered?

Yeah, as I was saying...

The Secret Barrister seems very animated that centrist superhero Sir Kier Starmer KC has turned out to be both useless and vindictive. It’s the apotheosis of sensible, better things aren’t possible pragmatism. This is what you wanted, big boy.

I agree the argument is over because we’ve all seen what the best, most left wing government that is permissible does with a smashing majority and it sure as hell is not “stand up to the far right”. That means that all this shit about mystical internet ninjas is just whistling past the graveyard.

Great to see the central role of mainstream parties covered so openly as it's been ignored for too long

However, I can't help but think that if the Guardian was serious about agenda setting, it would also reflect on their own role in the mainstreaming process

If Kemi Badenoch wonders why her party conference looks and feels like a sideshow, perhaps she should reflect on the Conservatives’ 14 years in power, says Guardian columnist Nesrine Malik

Last week, Policy Exchange released yet another report opposing high speed rail projects authored by Andrew Gilligan and - tellingly - foreworded by Reform's Richard Tice.

Without context or permission, they quote me in it. So I've a few things to add.

Hi Stew,

ADHD impacts the brain in terms of it's structure, function, and chemistry- none of which are impacted by consuming energy drinks. The rise of ADHD is due to more to do with people's awareness and recognition of the condition.

It is a big thing. Energy drinks are one of the causes of the rise in ADHD, in my view. High caffeine leads to mood swings, irrational behaviour and lack of sleep. And lack of sleep can cause all kinds of issues, from depression to physical issues.

BP has made its largest oil and gas discovery of the past 25 years as it shifts its focus away from renewables and back to fossil fuels.

Here is a totally unrelated clip from the Simpsons.

Any time you read anything Melanie Phillips writes, you should take her words as seriously as the tone in which she conveys them, then ask yourself the following question:

What is she giving her reader permission to do?
That Melanie Phillips is a lunatic conspiracist bigot and racist is not remotely shocking. But the fact that the Times continues to employ her should be.

If Britain hadn't done Brexit my life would be infinity times easier right now, and with that out of the way I can only say: it's done, it's cooked, it's never getting reversed, and if you want to blame politicians you can blame fucking CUK/TIG who abstained on customs-union amendments in 2019

i realize this is the unpardonable sin of noticing, but you do recall that CUK/TIG broke off claiming Corbyn wasn't pro-EU enough and then abstained on amendments that would have kept the UK in the single market and customs union!! They were the losing margin for those amendments!! It's their fault!

There's no public apology. They don't send this to media or post it on police accounts

We will continue to win.

Martin Forde concluded Labour operates a hierarchy of racism, where anti-Black racism & Islamophobia are brushed aside.

Now we have a Prime Minister who mimicked Enoch Powell with “island of strangers” & suspended the UK’s first Black woman MP twice.

It’s institutional racism.

Honestly, getting suspended by the Labour leadership is probably a better way of keeping your seat than staying loyal to Starmer's sinking ship.
