The footway parking ban in England consultation closed 5 years ago tomorrow. The Tories' inaction is now Labour's inaction.

We've written to 2 councillors re missing dropped kerbs creating a #disabledaccess issue.

The bus stop on Topsham Rd's separated from the pelican crossing by the crem road. No dropped kerbs! If you use a wheelchair/wheeled-walker you've a problem

New guidance out from the Government today on Critical Safety Issues ie a street layout or condition that is associated with an increased risk of collisions for people walking, wheeling or cycling.

We know these only too well. Will there be any funding to fix?

Worth thinking about.
This scheme looks to be properly high quality, although I'm still dubious that 'uncontrolled crossings' have any place in a modern scheme. If theres a desire line should be ped priority

Awaiting usual incoming from charlatans who think one of these features is unacceptable but the others are fine

But where do you put a 4-wheeled bike?

4wielfiets are four-wheeled bikes offer extra stability, opening up cycling to a broader range of users. As well as the extra stability they offer, they also fold up, making storage easy!

So needed here in Exeter.
Five years on from the Government’s consultation on pavement parking in England and there is still no action.

Meanwhile, Susanne and her son Joseph, a wheelchair user, found freedom in Scotland, where there pavement parking is restricted. Read about their story here 👇 http://bit.ly/4hicmQe

Have your say on Barnfield Rd, Exeter.
If you find the existing pavements too narrow for your mobility scooter or are frustrated by vans parked across pavements & access points, why not speak up for better spaces for people who walk, wheel or cycle?

Can we have safe cycling & walking paths for this in Exeter?
Side-by-side tandems are a game changer for people who, for whatever reason, can no longer cycle independently.

Thanks to the bike and a buddy (often a volunteer) these people can get moving again.

Besides a lot of cycling happiness, this also benefits physical and mental health!

If Bristol can do it, why can't we have fully accessible stations in Exeter at St James Park & Polsloe Bridge?
##disabledaccess
Really pleased there will finally be a step-free way for people to access platform 2 at Lawrence Hill station - ridiculous that it's been this way for years! I worked with WECA around this to argue for it - it's a no-brainer! #Bristol #trains #publictransport

I used to be the poster-girl for #InclusiveCycling 😅. These days, many more #DisabledCyclists are visible on our streets 🥳👍🏻😀.
@wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk is looking for models happy to help widen representation of #Cycling by #Disabled people. We only use fully consented pics. Pls get in touch 👇👇👇👇
Photos like these are really important for helping to raise awareness of our services and showing funders why we are worth supporting.

Let's make inclusive cycling visible!

Everyone should have access to the railways.
Disabled people should be included in any rail reform.
