BREAKING: Trump’s Ukraine ‘Ultimatum/Peace Deal' Is a $2 Trillion Cash Grab for Trump, Putin and Their Pals
So it turns out Donald Trump’s big plan to “end” the Russia‑Ukraine war isn’t really about peace. It’s about getting rich off the rubble and the bones of Ukraine's war dead.

The thought occurred to me too. The future of Prospera may depend on which party wins the upcoming election.

Don’t forget that *Trump’s own lawyer’s argument* to the Supreme Court in the immunity case was that the check on the President using his immunity to order criminal acts was that those under him would not follow illegal orders. Now it’s a crime for lawmakers to remind servicemembers of that?
The President doesn't want you standing up and speaking out against him, so he's coming after me to intimidate all of us.

But I won't back down — and neither should you.

#UkrainianView

I mean, we all here know that Trump attempts to break international laws to the point everywhere he can.

I am just noting the separate cases of when he does it again and again to help russia.
One plan. Six pillars of international law demolished.

Trump's Ukraine plan requires the US to violate 71 international commitments, @EerikNKross has calculated.

It systematically contradicts the legal order America built over 80 years—from the Geneva Conventions to NATO's founding treaty:

Until now I thought this so-called “peace proposal” was just another Russian info-op. Turns out it’s real and it’s pure capitulation. 🚫 Written by non-diplomats, it hands Putin a veto over #NATO and demands Ukraine give up territory he couldn’t conquer in four years of war. Why reward aggression?

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

“If I had to describe the movement that my husband Alexei Navalny created in just a few words, I’d say this: We are a pro-European movement,” Yulia Navalnaya, Russian opposition leader and economist writes in an op-ed.

“We believe Russia is an inseparable part of European civilization.”
What the Russian opposition wants
We aren’t asking for anything extravagant: We simply want Russia to be a normal country that cares about the dignity, rights and future of its people — just as European countries do.

Republicans have gone from bathroom bills for genital checks to Megyn Kelly suggesting puberty checks as proof of pedophilia.

In Florida, they aren't even old enough to read a banned book about what's happening to them.

A reminder - last March, republicans promised to restore $1.1B in funding to DC in exchange for funding the government, and Mike Johnson never took it up in the House.

It's shocking that this issue does not pierce the American consciousness. I now know what happened to Easter Island.
President Trump is pursuing a policy of climate-change acceleration. His actions are fueling global warming—and may leave places in the United States uninhabitable by mid-century, Vann R. Newkirk II writes.
What Climate Change Will Do to America by Mid-Century
Many places may become uninhabitable. Many people may be on their own.

Why is the military construction appropriation so important that it gets done before so many other things. Does it have anything to do with Trump's plan to use the military to help build internment camps across America?

Only bad people still support him.

Please, every Dem needs to learn how to fully REJECT all right wing framing when they answer questions or talk about any issues.
What Rep Neguse just did here is brilliant and needs to be copied by every Dem every day.
I love how Rep. Joe Neguse reframed this question.

Bravo to space.com for this deeply reported, lengthy piece.

Depressing, but a shocking thing is Goddard is using the shutdown to order moves out of lab and engineering spaces on 2-3 days notice, requiring major equipment to just be left behind and demolished

Trump is being as clear as he can be that it's open season on Democrats. If you are caught attempting to assassinate Barack Obama, not only will all charges be dropped, but the federal prosecutors who brought those charges will be fired. The next step will be bounties, I assume.

I'd never vote for Rand Paul, but on this issue he's absolutely correct. This is a clear and profound distinction. No declaration of war. No evidence of crime. What Trump & our military is doing is mass murder. It's no different than any mass-shooting of innocents – just with bigger (military) guns.
Rand Paul: "When you kill someone, if you're not in a declared war, you really need to know someone's name at least. You have to accuse them of something. You have to present evidence. So all of these people have been blown up without any evidence of a crime."

Yes, part of the implication of No Kings, especially repeating it, is to communicate both to wavering elites and to MAGA that the will and numbers exist to color revolution the administration if elections are subverted or cancelled.
However, it's a very good sign of what we'll be able to do when he actually attempts to overtly rule by force.
The 3.5% "rule" also applies to consistent, constant protesting. Not one off events imho.

So yeah, if 15 millionesh people were in the streets every day you could see why that would be problematic for the admin.

We are certainly not there yet.

I think Pritzker really gets at the heart of the matter.
Pritzker: "It's clear that Donald Trump has diminished capacity, which I think is sad -- that the people around him are not getting him help, and instead they're just taking advantage of him. And that's what Stephen Miller is."

Take the 1 yr for the 7 weeks and fight for longer term in next. By no means are tax cuts permanent. There are too many negatives piling up, not including empty threats from White House, and I don't think you want to risk going into martial law while not in session.
