This is an astoundingly good interview. The LA Port Director explains very clearly how profoundly trade is coming to a screeching halt. This summer will be tough.
Is this bad? I'm no international shipping expert, but this sounds bad.

The Constitution forbids bribery *3 separate times*.

So important to the Founders they included two emoluments clauses, and made it the only named impeachable offense besides treason.

The Constitution is clear on banning bribery. It's just that Congress and the courts decided to pretend otherwise.
I’m still baffled at how America took one of the basic principles of the presidency — the occupant shouldn’t be able to benefit financially from the office — and just said, nah, that just doesn’t count for this one guy.
An international trucking logistics firm is buying as much as *** $20 MILLION *** worth of President Donald Trump’s crypto coins to influence the administration’s trade policy.

I still cannot believe the Senate confirmed this motherfucker.
‘Kennedy told reporters that there were "many, many good ways to treat measles and doctors need to know that and to know those methods.’

One problem; there is no treatment for measles. Signed, a doctor who’s been forced to deal with measles because of this stupid fraud.
RFK Jr. asks CDC for new measles treatment guidance amid his unfounded claims
Kennedy claimed that drugs like budesonide and clarithromycin "have been shown very effective" for measles, but doctors say they don't fight the infection itself.

Looking forward to Chief Justice Roberts saying absolutely nothing about the Secretary of State, at a Cabinet meeting with the President next to him, remarking—unprompted—that the federal judiciary is beneath him and he will not comply with their rulings.
Q: “Have you been in touch with El Salvador about returning Abrego Garcia? Has a formal request from this administration been made?”

Rubio: “I would never tell you that. And you know who else I'd never tell? A judge.”

Wow, finally we get some answer as to what happened! They really did just run all names through law enforcement databases and terminate SEVIS status for anyone with a match, no matter the circumstances or magnitude of the "offense" (including things like speeding tickets and even dropped charges).
HAPPENING NOW: DHS official tells court that agency diverted 10-20 employees to run *1.3 million* names of foreign students through database that tracks criminal charges. Took 2-3 weeks.

There were ~6,400 hits (0.004%). But thousands were for charges that never led to convictions or were dropped.

Novavax has been around for several years , it’s got an excellent safety/effectiveness profile, and it seems to cause fewer side effects, notably in many people with chronic conditions who have extreme responses to the mRNA vax. It’s also the only alternative for anyone allergic to mRNAs.
This doesn't bode well for the US having covid booster shots this fall, if the FDA is going to essentially require large trials for booster shots. They are clearly going to try and compromise every vaccine they can either through bureaucracy or misinformation. Sad!

we're going to need severe consequences for everyone involved if we ever get out of this mess

but sending the DOGE assholes to jail for the damage they've done to this country is near the top of the list
Document posted by National Science Foundation program director on LinkedIn says not only that grants are being terminated by DOGE but that they're being deleted from databases. Presumably to make it difficult or even impossible to undo DOGE's illegal actions.
