Antidepressants can cause severe harms for some - akathisia, suicidal urges, dependence, PSSD. I nearly lost my son to an adverse reaction.

I'm trying to understand why informed consent so often doesn't happen, and how this can change.

So many studies from Iran with red flags. This time a RCT on CBT. No reduction in suicide ideation at all in the control group, same for Beck's hopelessness scale (sometimes referred to as despair, sometimes as hopelessness)

Pro-tip if you seriously messed in a paper: just do nothing, don't reply to emails. Chances are high that nothing will happen. There are no incentives for journal editors or universities to get the records corrected. And even if someone takes action, it may take years until retraction/correction.

1. Took a look at this study again bc I am doing a similar study. It's about lithium in drinking water and suicide. below is the scatterplot. The linear model did not produce significant results. But the cubic model did.
However, they removed an outlier🚨

1. Our paper on suicides and levels of lithium in Switzerland is now online (open access). It is to our knowledge the first pre-registered study on this topic. We found a near perfect null-result.
