Nadim Zahawi arrived in the UK from Iraq as a child refugee. His family claimed asylum once they were here. Today he has joined Reform who will stop all in country asylum applications. Under his new party, his own family fleeing persecution would be immediately deported.

During Fiona Hill's testimony to Congress on Oct 14, 2019, she described how Trump and Putin discussed exchanging Ukraine for Venezuela. The quid pro quo was if Trump refuses to help Ukraine fight off a Russian invasion, Putin would not help Venezuela (a Russian ally) resist a US takeover.

Lots of 'evil or incompetent' debate about Labour. But stuff like this, where all it has to do is tap a ball into an empty net and it still can't manage it, argues powerfully for incompetence.

We do not talk enough about how exceptional it is that Everton chose not to demolish Goodison Park and kept it as a base for their women's team instead. A victory for women's football and the cultural history of the game in this country, because Goodison is a piece of living history.
