When I began writing and researching Migration and the Origins of American Citizenship--African American, Native Americans, and Immigrants, I thought I was writing a historical book. I am horrified & disgusted it is suddenly relevant to current politics.
the idea that a handful of conservative legal scholars have an understanding that should supersede a settlement affirmed my generations of american is astoundingly arrogant, and the idea that trump — or any president — can unilaterally overturn that settlement is just despotism

I know some Juvenile Ciurt judges who would lose their gatdamned minds over this. These children are wards of the juvenile court committed to the relevant protective agency for care and supervision.

Spoke with a source who told me the call volume is so high, a call center for both Mastercard & Visa is bringing out pizza and ice cream so agents don’t quite amid the rush. Long waits are causing dropped calls.

Ok #lawsky, the hearing on OC's motion to be relieved in this case was conducted today. Want to know how it went? Immediately afterwards, the Court sent EVERY ATTORNEY IN OC'S FIRM an email ordering them to be in court for a sanctions hearing in 2 weeks. Transcript will be posted as soon as I get it
Opposing counsel just submitted an application to the court to adjourn the trial tomorrow and didn't cc me on it and said it was OK because I wouldn't be prejudiced and didn't tell the court that I'd already submitted opposition to his formal request and the court adjourned it???

Making the ACA completely unaffordable, it will cause people to drop their plans. If not enough people are enrolled, it makes the ACA obsolete & then they can get rid of it altogether. That is and always has been the plan.

In Österreich werden im Schnitt 335 Betretungs- und Annäherungsverbote pro Woche ausgesprochen. 48 pro Tag. Das heißt: Alle halben Stunden bedroht ein Mann hierzulande eine Frau so massiv, dass die Polizei ihm verbieten muss, ihr nahe zu kommen. Dunkelziffer nicht eingerechnet.
