really like the bit of my work where I get to actually go and look at what's inside Big Important Software Projects that everyone's been taught to believe are inscrutable arcane magic and go "see, it's just programming, you can figure it out"

Ages ago, when I was still a student, I taught myself Ruby on Rails for my senior thesis and fell in love. Fifteen years later, and I’ve used Rails at every job I’ve ever held in the tech industry. Fifteen years, and I still love Rails! But there’s something rotten at its core, and we share a name.

Tiny homes are now officially as big as homes-homes used to be. We should invent “tiny SUVs” the size of cars for the car-brained to buy so they don’t have to buy the child-killer-sized ones
It says “tiny home” but honestly… is it really all that tiny?

The library is the most bad ass grift out there. Free books, audiobooks, comics, movies, magazines. It’s feels like shoplifting that benefits society! And when you’re done with it someone else gets to join the heist.
Hey, as a librarian I need to tell you:

Our funding depends on usage.

So go ahead and check out that book even if you don't think you'll finish it. No one will know. Check out that DVD even though you might not like it. Get ambitious in your quest for knowledge.
