The "cat ears or human ears" thing only exists because catgirl ears are too small. A cat's ear canals are in about the same place as a human's; their ears are just comparatively enormous, which lets them stick up in spite of ending at the same spot. The real solution is to give catgirls bigger ears.

I think the fundamental gap here is that non-creative people think that creative people make things for the end product, when in fact it’s the act of creation and not the end point that makes it worthwhile.

Retro metroidvanias have brought us Metroid-likes, Castlevania-likes, Galious-likes, and even the odd Zelda II-like, but what I REALLY want is a. a Blaster Master clone that preserves the side-scrolling-overworld-and-top-down-dungeons conceit, and b. a version of Demon's Crest that doesn't suck.
