Just finishing up work stuff, the house is a mess, I still have to plan my bags and wrap up travel things, friends and family want to see me before I leave, I don’t have a single free afternoon, the dog’s having an allergic flare up again-

En mi opinión, incluso si la película fuera una maravilla en todos los demás sentidos, esta elección de cast ya la hace merecedora de críticas. No es una minucia: es racismo sistemático. Porque sí, Heathcliff es un hijo de puta, pero es un hijo de puta complejo que ofrece mucha riqueza narrativa.

Una cosa que pasa con Cumbres Borrascosas es que si le quitas la parte de crítica al horror ético de la ideología colonial se queda en una novela romántica más, sin nada destacable entre todas sus contemporáneas. Es como cuando se hace un Quijote _para niños_ quitando toda la parte metaliteraria.
