From what I can see, the Telegraph is giving a full uncritical online platform to an immigration policy that is more extreme than that offered up by the neo-Nazi British National Party at the 2010 general election - general-election-2010.co.uk/bnp-manifest...

Three months of Israeli siege on Gaza.
The starvation of 2m people, half of them children, continues.
The bombing continues
The shooting continues
The demolition of entire towns continues.

excellent example of "accounting system as mental prison" - if you cut the social care budget and put the responsibility onto families, it looks like you have more money to spend on military investment, but the actual amount of labour hours available has probably shrunk
Ganesh telling us all the same answer he always trots out for everything. But if the state isn't making provision for the very young, the sick and the old then productive workers will be taken out of the workforce to do so.And if there isn't decent childcare provision then people won't have kids.etc.
Europe must trim its welfare state to build a warfare state

Worth taking a moment to mark how awful the FDP was for both Germany and Europe.

I think this is good but it is depressing that military keynesianism is still the only kind anyone will go for, 17 years after the financial crisis
MASSIVE FISCAL PACKAGE OUT OF BERLIN: 12-20%+ of GDP.

- 500 billion fund for public investment
- All defence spending above 1% of GDP not counted for debt brake.
- Federal states can borrow 0.35% p.y. for investment.

Germany is back - economically and militarily.

the thing about Sputnik is it arrived like a new star in a world of darker skies, and more than that, it did so on top of a rocket that suggested the imminent future of ICBMs.

Even cooler! Near null island, there's a set of points shaped like the US (you can see Florida in the lower right.) But when you zoom out, they're off the coast of Liberia, exactly where they'd be if the latitude and longitude were both divided by 10 (eg so NYC is at 4.1, -7.4 instead of 40.7, -74).

To be honest I think one leads more or less automatically to the other. And scale certainly makes the consequences of poor organisation much worse.
Do folk think graphics are some sort of commodity, you purchase by the dollar?

They are made by people! And employing lots of people, is not the bad part of big budget video games.

The bad part is chronic mismanagement, toxic culture, funneling their immense profits to a handful of people etc

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Bluesky, is in fact, Bluesky/ATProto, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Bluesky on ATProto. Bluesky is not a protocol unto itself, but rather another AppView built on top of a fully functioning Authenticated Tranfer network
