well there’s no more need to tiptoe around the “curious language” used by safer hennepin, my suspicions were correct: the latest mailer they’ve sent out promoting jacob frey straight up asks for republicans and independents to vote for him

This was the first time I’ve had canvassers at my door in 6 years of living here, it was exciting!
Just chatted with @gebo4parkboard.bsky.social on behalf of himself and Jazz Hampton at my door. Really appreciate these campaigns knocking in multiunit buildings!

Jazz leads with love, courage, community and inclusion and I cannot wait to hear this interview today! 🌈
Today we start a series of LIVE interviews with candidates running for Minneapolis Mayor. We'll talk about their record on LGBTQ rights, access to gender affirming care, responding to the Trump admin, and the larger political retreat from LGBTQ rights.

11 years on the job. 17 years worth of overtime. Unacceptable. As mayor, I’ll bolster resources for our 911 call takers, for their health and our city’s safety.

On Sept 2nd I ran into Jazz Hampton at Porzana. I introduced myself to tell him that his name had been coming up a lot in my car. Seemed a little confused but I get it. Most chauffeurs stay away from political discourse and step right in it(research reasons).

Interest in Jazz has only grown since.

Frey is winning mayoral money race, but his opponents lead in these areas
Fateh, Davis and Hampton have more support in neighborhoods with more immigrants and less income. Will it translate to votes?

“I get a little miffed with people that say, ‘That’s what the mayor says he’s gonna do.’ Or, ‘That’s what the mayor wants to do,’” Hampton said. “If that’s what he says he is doing or has done, and it’s not working, then he’s implementing it poorly or a different policy should be in place.”

If you don’t rank your full ballot, you could end up with someone who is the complete opposite of what you believe in.

I believe if everyone votes their values, I will show I am the choice the majority of Minneapolis wants.

Rank fully, and rank me number one.
