This feels validating for the somewhat hyperbolic gripe I’ve been saying to everyone, that I feel it’s either above freezing or below 10 degrees every day. I’m not that far off! That one day we were a degree off of normal, I went ice skating
January either ran hot or cold in the Twin Cities. If you can believe it, there were three (!) days in the 40s in the first half of the month!
It was so cold the last two weeks that the monthly temperature ended up below average.

I think if regular folks are donating hundreds of dollars to mutual aid in the span of a few weeks, then landlords could maybe have a heart and not evict vulnerable families in this time of extraordinary crisis

The Munsell soil color book is essentially pages of paint swatches, and yes I have had some interpretive arguments about soil texture
Omg they need to meet soil scientists.
Or truly any group of scientists with the same specialties.
So much of it is "art" and nuance, not hard, incontrovertible fact.
I mean, apparently an astronomer on here has blocked a pile of geologists today for disagreeing about sand.
